Scope Of Work
We identify affected areas and content items using professional moisture detection equipment. A Project Manager is able to determine what materials and content are wet and how wet they are. We also document humidity levels and temperature. We will protect and move unaffected items and materials to a non-damaged area to prevent secondary damage to these items. Excessive humidity can cause damage to other areas of the property and we want to know how humid it is so that we can prevent that from happening.
Water Removal & Extraction
Now that we know where the moisture has traveled we'll begin removing the bulk water from the structure. We'll utilize our truck mounted extraction equipment to remove standing water from hard surfaces and carpet. We carry a large inventory of extraction tools from trash pumps to weighted extraction tools. Our equipment allows up to remove the water quickly to help prevent any additional or secondary damage.
Cleaning & Sanitation
We are trained to identify whether or not water is contaminated. If needed we will flush the areas with very water and at times we will apply an anti-microbial agent. Anti-microbial agents are used to deodorize, sanitize, and prevent mold growth. Children, elderly people, and others with weak immune systems or respiratory problems can get sick from strong chemicals such as antimicrobials. We will advise if any safety precautions are needed.
We install industrial specialty drying equipment to remove moisture, but we will remove materials such as insulation, drywall, baseboards that cannot be restored. This is to ensure a fast rate of drying. A member of our staff will need to make regular visits to document moisture levels and adjust equipment as necessary.
